About the course

The objective of the Diploma in Business Management qualification is to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structure of businesses.

 

The qualification will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills associated with business activities. It will prompt research, investigation and review of aspects of business which include Business Communication, The Business Environment, People Management, Customer Service, Finance and Marketing.

Knowledge and Understanding

  • An appreciation of the body of knowledge that constitutes a discipline of business.

  • A range of knowledge, facts, theories, ideas, properties, materials, terminology, practices and techniques about, and associated with, business , its functions and its context.

  • Apply knowledge, skills and understanding using some of the basic, routine practices, techniques to address set situations and/or problems related to the business management of organisations.

  • Relating field of business, functions of business, industries, sector to a range of practical and/or commonplace applications.

Generic Skills

  • Obtain, organise and use factual, theoretical and/or hypothetical information in drawing conclusions and suggest solutions to business organisations.

  • Take responsibility for carrying out a range of activities where the overall goal is clear, under non-directive supervision.

  • Exercise some supervisory responsibility, work in teams, evaluate the work of others and make use of limited resources efficiently.

Modules

All the modules here can be taken as individual stackable units and it stacks to form a complete qualification. Each module completion will be awarded a "certificate". Each modules taken separately is priced at $1400. Please email us if you wish to take the modules as stackable qualifications.

Admissions Requirements

Academic Requirements

  1. Above the age of 16 years of age, and

  2. Obtained at least a pass (minimum of C6) at GCE O-Levels in any 2 subjects, or

  3. Nitec, Higher Nitec or other qualifications of equivalent level, or

  4. Mature candidates who are at least 30 years old with at least 8 years of working experience.

 

Language Requirements:

  1. At least a pass (minimum C6) at GCE O-Level English or IELTS 5.5.

Progression

Completion of this diploma programme allows progression to our advanced diploma programme in business management or an advanced diploma* or higher diploma* or degree* programme in other schools should you meet their admission requirements*.

  2. Customer Service Representative: SGD 2,000 to SGD 3,500 per month

  3. Sales Associate: SGD 2,500 to SGD 4,000 per month (commission-based roles may have variable income)

  4. Marketing Assistant: SGD 2,500 to SGD 3,500 per month

  5. Retail Supervisor: SGD 2,500 to SGD 4,000 per month

  6. Human Resources Assistant: SGD 2,500 to SGD 3,500 per month

  7. Junior Project Coordinator: SGD 2,500 to SGD 4,000 per month

  8. Office Manager: SGD 3,000 to SGD 4,500 per month
